Voice4Africa, an initiative by the Kleber Group dedicated to promoting sustainable and responsible tourism in Africa, is further expanding its engagement—both within the German travel industry and in the field of humanitarian aid.
Membership in DRV and Appointment to the Foreign Affairs Committee
Voice4Africa recently became a member of the German Travel Association (DRV), the largest industry association in Germany’s tourism sector. In addition, Hanna Kleber, Chair of Voice4Africa, has been appointed to the DRV Foreign Affairs Committee.
With this, Voice4Africa brings a strong voice for Africa tourism and the importance of sustainable long-haul travel to the association’s work.
Hanna Kleber explains:
“Africa is a continent of incredible diversity—culturally and in terms of tourism. Our goal is to make this diversity more visible, support emerging destinations, and create sustainable opportunities for local communities. The collaboration with DRV provides us with important opportunities to integrate these priorities into the German tourism industry.”
Partnership with Gesundes Afrika e.V.
Beyond tourism advocacy, Voice4Africa is also active in humanitarian projects. The initiative supports Berlin-based NGO Gesundes Afrika e.V., which for many years has strengthened healthcare, prevention, and education across African countries.
A particular focus lies on maternal and child health: together with African partner organizations, Gesundes Afrika e.V. runs educational programs, supports local medical facilities, and improves access to essential healthcare services.
This ties directly into Voice4Africa’s own mission. Since its founding, the initiative has promoted community-based tourism in rural regions to empower women and youth.
Hanna Kleber emphasizes:
“From the very beginning, we have worked to ensure that tourism is not only about unforgettable experiences but also about creating real opportunities for local people, especially women and young people. The partnership with Gesundes Afrika e.V. allows us to extend this commitment into healthcare and to support projects that provide families with a strong start in life.”
Expanding Reach for Greater Impact
Voice4Africa will leverage its visibility to raise awareness of Gesundes Afrika e.V.’s work, amplify donation campaigns, and increase the impact of ongoing projects. In this way, the initiative links the promotion of Africa tourism with a direct contribution to improved living conditions in African countries.
