Frankfurt, January 18, 2023. As part of the CMT travel trade fair in Stuttgart, the Corps Touristique, the representative body of the international tourism boards in Germany, presented the CT Award “Going Beyond Borders” for the first time. The award honours projects that are dedicated to international understanding. An independent jury of experts made up of media representatives and representatives of the travel industry chose three award winners from numerous submissions, including the Voice4Africa initiative.
“We feel very honoured, and we take this recognition as a confirmation of our work to give Africa and its positive stories a voice in the German-speaking countries, to promote responsible travel to Africa and thereby contribute to sustainable development in the destinations,” says Hanna Kleber, initiator of Voice4Africa.
Voice4Africa was launched by KPRN network/Kleber Group, a PR agency with a specific focus on tourism and long-standing expertise in Africa. Together with Africa tour operators, the initiative draws attention to the serious consequences of the pandemic-related travel shutdown for African tourism, the people in the individual countries as well as wildlife and nature conservation in Africa.
All Voice4Africa partners are characterized by their many years of Africa expertise and passion for the African continent. Together they want to promote responsible tourism to Africa as a means of international understanding and a driver for sustainable development.
